Walstonburg……………………………Thomas Strickland, age 91, died Saturday, January 26, 2019. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Matthew Galloway, Rev.

Thomas Meade, and Rev. Doug Skinner. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6 until 7:00 P.M. Committal service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Strickland was a member of Spring Branch Original Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lois Wooten Strickland of the home; daughters, Beth Strickland Cobb and husband, Carson of Saratoga, and Janet Strickland Doane and husband, William of Walstonburg; sons, Douglas Strickland and wife, Sandra of Walstonburg, Ronald Strickland and wife, Janice of Fountain, and Timothy Strickland and wife, Anne Marie of Fuquay Varina; sister, Kathleen Warren of Walstonburg; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
