Thomas “Tom” Campbell Tom Campbell, 69, passed into the Presence Of Jesus, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but raised his family in Columbia, South Carolina. Tom was brought to the Columbia area when attending Columbia Bible College (Currently Columbia International University) where he later worked as business manager.

He retired from PM Systems bank software management in Chapin, SC. In retirement, he kept himself busy by building a home for his family in Lexington, volunteering with B4T at Operation Mobilization, traveling with friends and family, and building virtual airports. He worked part time at X-Force PC where he could use his knowledge and love for Flight Simulator.

Tom showed his love of life by spending time with his family and friends. He would share his interests of history, bird watching, and nature while taking long walks and would wax philosophical at the drop of a hat. He was an intelligent and generous man to which many went for sound advice.

He had a lasting passion for all things flying and lifelong love and respect for C.S. Lewis. Tom was a loving husband, father, granda, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl Walker Campbell; his daughters: Christa Porth (Matt), Bethany Campbell, and Aaryn Marsters (John); his granddaughters: Macie Porth (8) and Kayleigh Porth (5); his mother: Belle Campbell; his sister: Phyllis Eland (Roy); and numerous other loving relatives.

The memorial service will be held at New Heights Church on Saturday, February 23rd at 3 P.M. 5501 Broad River Rd. Columbia, SC 29212. Memorials may be made to Christian Life Church.
