Obituary for Thomas “Tom” R. McGuire Thomas Robert McGuire, 72, passed away Thursday, July 19th, 2018, with family by his side. He was born on November 26th, 1945, to Reginald and Lena (Baenen) McGuire. Tom graduated from Premontre High School in 1963 and attended vocational school.

He served his country in the U.S. Army for 3 years and was a proud Vietnam veteran. Tom was self employed as owner of Tom’s Carpet Installation. On June 4th, 1966, he married Judy Minor and they were blessed with 52 years together.

They enjoyed antiquing, expanding their hosta and shade gardens, going on day trips to find new trails, gardens, restaurants, but most of all they enjoyed family time. They had two children Ron (Amy) McGuire and Jen (Tim) Patterson. He was so proud of them and their unique talents.

Two grandchildren Kristen and Mason Patterson were special in every way to Grandpa. Our daughter-in-law, Amy and son-in-law, Tim who are our children, too, are there for us always. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Ron (Amy) McGuire and Jenny (Tim) Patterson; grandchildren, Kristen and Mason Patterson; sister, Mary Lou (Bill) Simon; mother-in-law, Dolores Minor; sisters-in-law, Gloria McGuire, Kathy Peterson, Joyce Cieluch and Nancy Kappas; brothers-in-law, Richard Ferlazzo and Bob Albers; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Lena McGuire; sisters, Patricia Klika and Kathleen Albers; brothers, Robert (Marie), William (Nancy), James, and Michael; father-in-law, Alfred Minor; nephews, Randy, Kevin and Paul McGuire, and Tim Cieluch. We are so thankful for our family near and far, for their unwavering support, and for friends and neighbors who were and are are so caring. Thank you to Green Bay Oncology for their compassionate care, the angels from Unity Hospice, Tender Hearts Assisted Living for taking care of Grandma Dee so Judy could be with Tom, and our dear friend Michelle at Simply Cremation who guides us with love.

Tom’s wishes are for a blessing and gathering at a later date. Tom, Dad, Grandpa we will forever carry you in our hearts. Tom would like any donations in his name to go to Children’s Hospital Milwaukee.
