Mr. Thomas Vincent McCarthy, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Born in Lexington, he was the son of the late Molton and Mae Miller McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy retired from the United States Army Infantry where he received numerous awards and medals including the Distinguished Service Cross, the Purple Heart, and the Expert Marksmanship.

He had a passion for hunting and fishing, but more importantly, he was a devoted father, husband, and serviceman to his country. He is survived by his daughter; Wanda McCarthy, son; Keith McCarthy (Elanie), and grandchildren; David McCarthy Edmonds, Christopher Woods Edmonds, and Michelle McCarthy. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Sarah.
