Obituary for Thomas Wayne “Todd/Tom” Long Jr. Thomas Wayne Long, Jr. (Todd/Tom), 51, of Rock Hill went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 7,2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Todd was born on December 16, 1967 in Rock Hill, SC, to Linda Troublefield Adams and Thomas Wayne Long Sr He was a 1986 graduate of Rock Hill High School.

Todd proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1986 until 1992 as an Electronic Warfare Systems Technician. His duty assignments included Navy ships USS San Jacinto (CG-56) and USS Santa Barbara (AE-28), the latter of which deployed in Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf War. He also enjoyed volunteering with the Armed Forces Emergency Services group of the American Red Cross in York County.

Todd loved the outdoors and had a great appreciation for nature, wildlife, and beautiful sunsets. He often took pictures and shared them with friends and family. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Linda Troublefield Adams and Bill Armour of Rock Hill, father Thomas Wayne Long, Sr. and wife Katie of Cowpens, SC, sisters Fleta Long Crocker and husband Henry of Rock Hill, Anna Long Damanti and husband Dustin of Pacheco, CA, brothers Steven Long and Kevin Long, both of Cowpens, SC, and maternal grandmother Cornelia Troublefield of Rock Hill.

Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill. Inurnment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Rd.
