Timothy Larry Downey “Papa D”, age 55, of Carol Stream, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018. He was born on August 20, 1962 in Indianapolis, IN to Kenneth and Carolyn Downey. Tim was united in marriage on May 24, 1986 to Linda Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda Downey; daughter, Melissa (Eric) Fletcher and son, Timothy “T.J.” Downey; parents, Ken and Carolyn Downey; sisters, Debbie (Bill) Martin and Joanna Downey; brother Jon (Brenda) Downey; godson, Jonathan Gutermuth; fun-loving Uncle to all his nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susie (Greg) Collins. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (1 block north of Washington & Main), West Chicago.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Community Church, 26W401 Geneva Rd, Wheaton, IL. Pastor Scott Howington officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
