Timothy “Tim” Edward Ingalls, 57 of Appleton, passed away on December 11, 2018, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle, with medical issues. Tim was born on June 21, 1961, in Antigo, Wisconsin to the late Clarence and Mahala (Spencer) Ingalls. He grew up in the New London area, graduating from New London High School.
Tim worked many years at Presto Products before working at Thimany Papermill for 21 years, until health issues forced him to retire last year. Tim met his one true love, Susan (Schroeder) in 1990. They finally decided that 25 years of engagement was long enough and were married in Mexico, on January 29, 2015.
Next to his family, Tim’s greatest joy was cars – everything about them. He enjoyed ice racing, rebuilding cars, showing off his hot rods, shopping for more hot rods and tinkering in his garage. Life changed for the better ten years ago when Tim became “Grandpa”.
So many great memories have been created at Grandma and Grandpa’s house playing in the spooky forest and riding around on Grandpa’s golf cart and tractor. His grandchildren will miss him more than words can say. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Sue; step daughters, Kelly (Mark) Vande Hei and Kasie (Sam) Shackelford; his grandchildren, Kylee, Gracyn, Will, Edison and Liam; siblings Rodney (Jean) Hendricks, Linda (Jed) Learned, J.R. Ingalls, twin sister Tammy (Ty) Govitz and Barry Ingalls; mother-in-law, Darlene Mares, brothers and sisters-in-law, Vince (Kathy) Mares, Brian (Terry) Mares, Kim (Anthony) Morgan, Jeff (Jen) Mares; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, many friends; and his labradoodle side kick, Gunner.
He was further proceeded in death by his parents; siblings, Janet Goetsch, Diana Hildebrand, Cathy Northup and Ben Ingalls; father-in-law, Lloyd Mares and brothers-in-law, Tim and Martin Mares. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tim’s doctors, Dr. Melissa Garcia and Dr. Maria Aristigueta and the staff of ThedaCare Regional Medical Center ICU for their compassionate care of Tim and his family.
God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be Thine”. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
