Todd’s Obituary Todd R Anderson, age 58, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at home. Born April 18, 1961 in Oil City, PA, he was the son of Mary Ellen (Osten) Anderson of Meadville and the late Thomas R. Anderson. Todd was a 32 year, Architecture Senior IT Specialist with Cigna.

He earned his Associates Degree in forestry surveying from Paul Smith’s College, Saranac, NY and worked in Oil City at Cubbon Lumber. Later, Todd decided to pursue a career in the IT Healthcare industry. He completed computer training and moved to Texas to work for EDS, later Hewlett Packard and Cigna.

He lived in Boston before settling in Mechanicsburg. He was involved in the Cumberland Valley Marching Band and a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. Todd will be remembered for his passion for the outdoors and his joy in sharing that with others.

He was always there to provide a helping hand to family and friends, with a ready smile and sense of humor. He was a great dad, involved in his daughter’s activities and always available to encourage and support them. In addition to his mother, Todd is survived by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth (Prew) Anderson; two daughters, Madigan and Erin Anderson, both of Mechanicsburg; brother, David Anderson (Jane) of Meadville and their children, Martin (Rachel) and Emily; brother, Michael Anderson (Tammy) of Hanover and their children Drake, Jack and Nicole; and brother-in-law, Robert Prew.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Friday, June 21, 2019 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1 Peter Drive, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Cumberland Valley Band Boosters, P.O. Box 173, New Kingstown, PA 17072.
