Tomie’s Obituary Tomie Jean Cheatheam, age 91, passed away on March 1, 2019 in Childress, TX. Services will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home.

Tomie was born on March 1, 1928 to Walter Thomas Perry and Leathie Pate Perry in Guthrie, TX. She was a beautiful seamstress and also loved to do ceramics at Frankie’s Mud House Ceramics. She also loved to do yard work.

She dearly loved her dogs Butch and Lucy and she enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. Tomie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll Cheatheam; 2 brothers, Gilbert Perry and Stanley Perry; sister, Velma Robinson and one grandson Wayne Reid. She is survived by her daughter; Pat Boyle and husband, Raymond; son, John Rochelle and wife, Nancy; son, Randy Rochelle; daughter, Diane Reid and husband, Jerry; daughter, Rita Eubanks and husband, Mack; daughter, Kim Baranski and husband, Michael; brother-in-law; Harold Cheatheam and wife, Barbara; sister-in-law, Lois Cheatheam; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Childress Meals on Wheels, PO Box 473, Childress, TX, 79201.
