Funeral Services for Tracy L. Keith, 55, Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue. Reverend Jay Daniels will officiate. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. She passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk after battling cancer for 3 years. Tracy Lin was born June 15, 1963 in North Platte, Nebraska to her parents Dwayne and Carolyn (Armitage) Keith.
She was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk. Tracy graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1981. She began work at Grampy’s Pancake Restaurant while still attending high school.
Following graduation, she met and married Gary Rogers of Colorado, where she lived for a short time. Upon moving back to Norfolk, she worked for a time at Sherwood Medical then Ricardo’s where she enjoyed her loyal customers and met many friends that are still a very large part of her life today. She began working with her dad and mom at the family business, The Karpet Shop in 1987, eventually becoming a partner and owner.
Again, Tracy made new friends and loyal customers which was a big joy to her life. Tracy had a great love for animals and everyone knows her pets were her children. At the time of her death, she leaves behind Bella, Simba, Angel, Chopper and some fish.
Her other enjoyments were spending time with her brother and sister and close friends enjoying casinos, concerts, and a cruise or two. Tracy is survived by her parents, sister Tammy (Neil) Maynard of Norfolk, brother Darryn (Deanna Tiedtke) of Norfolk, nephews Brady (Emily), Branson (Rachael) and Brock, great nieces and nephews Alexis, Hunter, Hannah, Madelyn, Dexter, Malcolm, and Brayden, grandfather Joseph Melvin Armitage, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Woodrow and Ethel Keith, and Henrietta Armitage, uncle Bob Armitage and cousin Jeff Keith.
