Trinidad’s Obituary Trinidad Uriegas, 95, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at his residence surrounded by love of his family. Mr. Uriegas was born on September 14, 1923 in Rancho Carrizo, San Carlos, Tamaulipas Mexico. He lived most of his life in Ejido Soledad de Los Perez in Cruillas, Tamaulipas where he was a farmer all of his life.

He resided in Rio Hondo, TX the last four years to be close to his family. He was a member of St. Helens Catholic Church. Trinidad enjoyed being with family, singing his favorite songs and telling jokes with family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory his loving and devoted wife of 72 years, Mercedes A. Uriegas, seven children, Nolberto Uriegas (Aunolia), Jose Luis Uriegas ((Eglamtina), Fidel Uriegas (Alma), Irma Figueroa (Faustino Garza), Trinidad Saldana (Hector), Javier Uriegas (Rosie), Francisco Rigoberto Uriegas (Guadalupe), 27 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Carolina Uriegas, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 17, 2019 at Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel of Roses located at 1702 E. Harrison Ave. from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a service of prayer of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm led by the Guadalupanas Society of St Helens Catholic Church. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday May 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at St. Helens Catholic Church, Rio Hondo.

Interment will follow to Rio Hondo City Cemetery. Honored to be his pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Fidel Uriegas, Francisco Uriegas, Sergio Saldana, Hector Saldana, Everardo Uriegas, Joel Uriegas and Oscar Flores.
