Uldine C. Thaggard Augusta, GA – Uldine Connor Thaggard passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 of natural causes. Uldine was 89 years old and enjoyed a great life with many activities and interests. She served as a school teacher for over 15 years and participated in the original “Peanut Brigade” which helped to elect President Jimmy Carter.

Uldine was a native of Newington, GA and a Mercer University Graduate of 1949. In Later years, she lived in Augusta, GA and enjoyed the company of her son, Dr. George Snelling (Roberta Snelling) and her late husband, William Thaggard. The family appreciates the efforts of Camilla Walk Assisted Living, Karen Woolsey, Doris Jones, Marla Jones and many others who made her last year’s so comfortable.

A service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Chaplain Race Lariscy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd. , Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
