OBITUARY Woodrow “Woody” Walker Jr. October 2, 1947 – January 11, 2019 Augusta, GA- Mr. Woodrow “Woody” Walker Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 11, 2019. To know him was to love him. He was a caring man who enjoyed spending time with his family and cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs.

He loved the outdoors and he especially enjoyed golf, hunting and horses. Woody began working at Delta Airlines when he was 17 years old and he retired after 37 years of dedicated service. He formed lifelong friendships with his Delta brothers.

Woody was a great mentor to many youth in his role as a baseball coach. He will be missed by all who knew him. Woody was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Walker Sr. and Georgia Lou Robinson; and his sister, JoAnn Bogar.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 36 years, Cherrlyn Walker; his children, Woodrow Wilson Walker III (Marci), Richard Wade Walker, Jennifer Joy Jones (Bernie), Angela Denise Wiggins and Carol Leigh Wiggins; nine grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1 PM until the service hour.

Pastor Chuck Stotler will be officiating and his brothers from Delta Airlines will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
