Umberto Fratangeli 85, of Aliquippa passed away with his devoted family by his side on May 22, 2019. He was born May 24, 1933 in Frosinone, Italy and was the son of the late Benedetto and Paolina (Dore) Fratangeli. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son.

Robert Fratangeli, four brothers: Augusto, Mario and Guilia Fratangeli, Frank, a brother who died as a young child and a brother-in-law Sam Antonucci. Umberto was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church. He retired form Shenango Steel and Aloe Coal Company where he worked as a Welder.

Umberto was an avid gardener and enjoyed giving the fruits of his labor to his family and friends to enjoy. He also took great care of his Fig trees too. Umberto also enjoyed doing cement work and did many projects in the area.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years. Rina (Antonucci) Fratangeli Three children: Nick Fratangeli, John Fratangeli and Sandy Timmons, Lorena and Anthony DiNunno Nine grandchildren who Umberto adored: David and Julia Fratangeli, Jennifer and Damien Tortorice, Karina Fratangeli, Vincenzo and Julie, Kayla, Brianna and Gabriela DiNunno, Darby Paul and four great grandchildren:Tyler, Rayne, Nathan, and Lincoln. Umberto is also survived by five brothers, a sister and eight sisters-in-law: Domenic and Felicetta Fratangeli, Filomena Antonucci, Remo and Maria Fratangeli, John and Vicki Fratangeli, Tony and Anna Fratangeli, Phillip and Sue Fratangeli, Margarita Fratangeli, Antionette Fratangeli, many loving nieces and nephews and very special friends; Dino Leone, Art D’Donato, Cornell Bernola and a wonderful neighbor Gary Williams who always made time visit Umberto.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, 15001 724-375-0496. A service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 am with Pastor Kevin Dragonac. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
