Venita Ann Hord, of Forest Hill, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. She was born on March 25, 1949 in Winters, Texas to Roland Earl Sample and Lou Ella (Queen) Sample. She married Jackey Hord on August 1, 1969.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ruben Sample and Steve Sample. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jackey Hord; daughters, Janet Gabhart and husband Daniel and Melinda Johnson and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Krystal Crow and husband Jacob, Sarah Gabhart, Travis Gabhart; great grandchildren, Riley Crow, Makenzie Crow, Cliffton Roberts; sisters, Lou Dell Mabry and Margaret Fuller; and brother, Marvin Sample. Funeral service for Venita will be Friday, March 1, 2019 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church in Kennedale with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 6:00-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
