Oak St. Palestine, Texas 75801 ============================================================== EMANUEL FUNERAL HOME – PALESTINE IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS ================================================================ Mrs. Venola Alexander Neal: a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend was born September 3, 1925 in Oakwood, Texas to Arthur and Lillie (Johnson) Alexander.

After graduating high school she attended Prairie View A&M where she met the love of her life, Robert B. Neal, in 1947 on campus. They later married on November 24, 1948 and they had and loved one son, Elton Kenneth Neal. Venola was a member of South New Hope Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary.

She was an educator for 25 years until her retirement from Hearne ISD. Among all her many accomplishments he was a devoted First Lady to Robertson Chapel Baptist Church (Marquez, Texas), substitute teacher and gave many years of service to the Senior Citizen Center. On March 14, 2019, Venola left this earth on the Wings of Angels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lillie Alexander; husband, Rev. Robert B. Neal; brothers, David Alexander, Cecil Alexander, Arthur Alexander, Jr., Richard Alexander; sister, Ollie B. Gibson. Venola leaves behind many to carry on her BEAUTIFUL legacy: two granddaughters: Kenya Henry, Whitney Neal; daughter-in-law, Noreen Neal; 5 great-grandchildren: Jordan Coleman, Bren’dyn Neal, Kiara Coleman, Brook’lyn Neal and MiKenzi Henry; brother: Roosevelt Alexander; a special nephew, Lawrence Gibson; special friend, Ethel Edwards, a host of nieces, nephews, family members, church members, fellow students and friends.
