Verl W. Price April 25, 1929 – January 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Private Condolences Verl Price, 89 of McConnell , passed away January 17, 2019 at Presence St Joseph Center. He was born on March 25, 1929 in Lena to Clarence and Ida (Hardel) Price. He married Lucille Sturtevant on July 16, 1950 in Lena.

He was a lifelong farmer on the family farm. Verl drove bus for Lena Winslow School District for many years and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He is survived by two children- Nancy (Rodney) Peterson of Orangeville and Barbara Price of Freeport; his grandchildren Kathy (Shad) Sutherland of Davis and Brad Peterson of Orangeville; his great-grandchildren Brooke, Kasey, and Lucas Sutherland and Kyah Peterson; and several nieces and nephews.

Verl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille, and sister Irene Talbert. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Leamons Funeral Home in Lena IL. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lena.

Officiating will be Pastor Miho Yasukawa and Ernie Stabenow Burial will be at Lena Burial Park. Luncheon to follow at the church.
