Vernon “Bim” Howe, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 25, 2019. He was a U.S. Army veteran during Vietnam, stationed in Korea. He later retired from Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton.

Preceded in death by his son, Matthew and several other family members. Bim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maureen Howe; daughter, Alicia (Chad) Howe; his “pride and joy”, grandson, Brennan; sisters; a brother; sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; special pets, “Spottie” and “Baby”. The family would like to thank Heather Knoll Nursing Center and Sprenger Hospice for all the love they showed him during his time there.

Bim’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 30th at 12 Noon at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave. , Barberton 44203 with Chaplain Janet Paul officiating. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.
