Vernon Wayne Williams, 80, of Leona, passed away on April 22, 2018. Vernon was born on December 21, 1937 in Mont Belvieu to Vernon A. and Leatrice (Powers) Williams. He married Doris Ann Triplett on April 20, 1963.

They would live in both Pearland and Leona during their marriage. Vernon is remembered as a loving family man that created many memories with those close to him. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a great time hunting, fishing and camping.

His love of nature and animals was carried over to his daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann Williams and his parents Vernon A. and Leatrice Williams. He is survived by his daughter Kim Williams Amundson and husband Terry of Leona; grandchildren: Stephanie Donaho and Jason Amundson; and great grandchildren: Savanna, James, Melissa and Kaylie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Park Funeral Home.
