Vickie Ann Maples, age 68, of Nixa passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. She was born June 11, 1950 in Springfield to Wayne and Norma Jean (Edwards) Maples. Vickie was raised in Nixa and played flute in the Nixa High School Band graduated in 1968.

After graduating she went to William Woods College in Fulton and graduated in 1972 with a Bachelors degree in accounting. Vickie left the Nixa area to pursue a career in Dallas, TX as an accountant at Skinner Tile and Marble. Vickie loved to travel.

She went on many cruises, trips to Hawaii and her favorite place was Las Vegas, NV. After 16 years in Dallas she moved to Las Vegas. She was a comptroller for Shepard Eye Center in Las Vegas.

Vickie retired in 2016 and moved back home to Nixa. Vickie loved her family and had a few close friends. She was an independent and content person.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games and working puzzles on her I-pad. Cremation is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Vickie Ann Maples please visit our Sympathy Store.
