Victor Manuel “Chico” Velez, 68, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. Mr. Velez was born May 25, 1949 in Humacao, Puerto Rico to the late Eugenio Velez and Maria Collazo.

He was an agricultural worker and had lived in Tifton since 1979. He had worked in agriculture all of his life. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and was a devoted father.

Mr. Velez is survived by one son, Joseph Velez of Tifton; two daughters, Victoria Velez of Fitzgerald and Alicia Henderson of Tifton; five grandchildren, Kenyetta Holloway, Alexandria Vaughan, Christopher Vaughan, Roderick Hill, Jr., and Leurn Williams. Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
