Viola M. Tartaglia, 83, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2018 at home. She was born Viola Liguori and was originally from Brooklyn, New York where she grew up. After retirement, she moved to Holmdel, New Jersey where she has resided for 20 years.

Viola loved being a homemaker and family was the center of her life. She described her grandchildren as being the “sunshine of her life”. She is predeceased by her parents, Paul and Viola (Monczewski) Liguori, her beloved husband, Michael Tartaglia, her precious granddaughter, Stephanie Tartaglia, and her best life-long friend, Josephine Antis.

Viola is survived by her loving children, Paul Tartaglia and his wife, Gina of Mohegan Lake, New York, and Michele Mingino and her husband Gregory of Lincroft, New Jersey, her adored grandchildren, Christina Tartaglia, Nicole Tartaglia, Kayla Mingino, Olivia Mingino, Isabella Mingino, Michael Tartaglia, her cousin, more like her sister, Joan Perillo, and her dear best friend, Louise Wysokowski. Viola is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, wonderful friends and neighbors. Viola was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday morning, June 11, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 11, 2018 (following morning visitation) at St. Benedict R.C. Church,165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey at 11:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, 549 County Road 520, Marlboro, New Jersey 07746.
