Violet Marie Anderson, age 89, of Seymour, died at the Lutheran Community Home on March 21, 2019. Born in 1930, in Waukegan, IL, she was the daughter of David W. and Violet (Fissel) Aldrich. On August 7, 1954, she married the Rev.

Edward Anderson in Waukegan. Vi graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She worked as a college and hospital nurse before she and her family moved to Seymour.

Vi was the office nurse for Dr. Charles Wolter for many years until she retired. She volunteered at the Humane Society, where she cleaned the cat room every Friday. In her younger years she was a talented violinist and painter.

Survivors are her son, Dr. David Anderson of Seymour, and daughter, Amy Anderson Miller; three grandchildren, Christian (Andrea) Miller, Chandler Miller, and Camrann Miller; a great-grandson, Elias Miller; and a sister, Jane (C. Nathan) Richards. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Thomas Joel Anderson.

A graveside service will be held at the Uniontown Cemetery on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons. Online condolences may be given on the funeral home website at www. vossfuneralservice.com.
