Virginia D. Beauvais, 77, passed away peacefully Saturday at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born September 13, 1941 in Springfield to the late Clifford and Madeline (Porter) Dane. She was a lifelong resident of West Springfield and was a 1959 graduate of West Springfield High School.

She worked at the Big E as an executive secretary for the Agriculture and Education Department for 35 years. She loved traveling, took many cruises to the Caribbean, and she also loved to spend time in Vermont and Cape Cod. She enjoyed knitting, playing the piano, reading, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.

Virginia is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Lou Beauvais, and her children Debbie Bibeau and her husband Steven of Westfield, MA, and her son Louie Beauvais and his wife Lisa, of West Suffield, CT. She was the cherished grandmother to Christopher and Nicole Bibeau, and Daniel, Kelly and Jeffrey Beauvais. She was also a great grandmother to Claire Beauvais and Madelynn Bibeau.

Calling hours for Virginia will be Wednesday from 4-7PM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street in West Springfield. A Funeral Home Service will take place Thursday at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home at 10:00AM, burial to follow at Paucatuck Cemetery in West Springfield. Please visit www.
