Virginia’s Obituary Virginia Evelyn Cobb born February 25, 1931 passed away Saturday March 9, 2019 at her home in Garland TX. She was 88. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Roland Allen (Al) Cobb and her children Donald Cobb, Anna Yeakley (Husband Mark), & Dan Cobb (Wife Dana) as well as five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Garland TX 801 W Avenue B. Visitation starts at 12 noon, followed by a service at 1pm. Graveside services will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228 Virginia earned a Nursing degree in in 1977 and worked as an RN for 36 years, officially retiring at age 82. She was an active Church member, and sang in the church choir virtually her whole life.

She had a heart for missions working with the local food pantry, helping with meals on wheels, and volunteering her time and res wherever the need. She sponsored children through World Vision. She was often active in local garden clubs and the Red Hats Society.

She played the piano, enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.
