Virginia Norrell Hearn, 98, of Crossett, died Friday, October 5, 2018. Mrs. Hearn was a native of Hamburg and a resident of Crossett for the past 50 years. She was a member of the North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church; a homemaker and a babysitter for over 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Hearn; a step-grandson that she raised as her own, Clyde B. Cummings; her parents, Oscar and Eunice Curry Norrell; two brothers, Oscar Norrell, Jr. and William E. Norrell, and three sisters, Doris Jenkins, Geneva King and Frances Corker. She is survived by her granddaughters, Gwenlyn Benefield, and husband, Wade, of Bonneau, South Carolina, Brenda Baldwin of Biloxi, Mississippi and LaNora Hodo of Gulfport, Mississippi; a sister, LeFreda Johnson of Hamburg; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.

Jim Baker and Bro. Gary Willett officiating. Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery.

Pallbearers are T.J. Maxwell, Carlton Maxwell, Cody King, Religh Christy, Kevin Miller, and Chad Gregg. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Benefield, James Miller, Sr., Mike Herrington, Wayne Neal, and Andrew Wallace. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
