Virginia Ruth Foster Virginia Ruth Foster, 87 years old, of Trenton, Missouri, formerly of Milan, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton. Virginia was born March 20, 1931 to Glenn and Bessie (Wayman) Dean. On September 25, 1949 in Galt, Missouri, she married Wayne Foster, he preceded her in death in 2004.

She was also preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Dick Dean; a sister, Shirley Hague; and a child in infancy, Michael Foster. Virginia was survived by: four daughters, Connie Sears and husband Ron of Mendon, Missouri, Carole Belcher of Maysville, Missouri, Cathy Foster of Milan, and Colleen Steele and husband Ronnie of Independence, Missouri; one son, Steve Foster and wife Patty of Milan; 11 grandchildren, Jason Sears, Kirk Sears (Shelly), Jeff Frazier, Tracie Mason (Chris), Jennifer Swearengen (Scott), Brian Caldwell, Brandon Pickering (Cameron), Angela Foster, Nick Steele(Elissa), Stephanie Pierson(Patrick), and Kyle King; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Polley of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews. Virginia lived all of her married life in Sullivan County.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milan and active in church activities. She was a past member of BPW, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, and was in the Locust Creek Saddle Club. Virginia worked at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, starting as a Nurse’s Aide then worked in the office and medical records.

She retired after 40 years from the hospital and then worked at Milan Health Care in medical records. Virginia enjoyed antiques, yard sales, cooking, and gardening. She loved riding horses and raised miniature horses and quarter horses.

Services for Virginia will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at Bairdstown Cemetery, Northwest of Milan. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 AM.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bairdstown Cemetery.
