Virginia Stevens November 04, 1938 – December 30, 2018 Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Virginia Ruth Stevens, daughter of the late Paul Kroeck and Eva (Copeland) Kroeck was born November 4, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her residence in Bunker, Missouri. She had attained the age of eighty years, one month and twenty-six days.

On May 31, 1956 Virginia was united in marriage to Smiley Sam Stevens Sr. in Reno, Nevada. To this union seven children were born. Smiley preceded her in death on October 26, 1996.

Virginia was of the Pentecost faith and she spent her life as a homemaker raising her seven children. She loved her family and every moment spent with them but they came second; only to the Lord. Virginia enjoyed collecting rocks and nick knacks, reading, writing poetry, gardening, and just sitting in the sun.

In addition to her parents and husband Smiley, Virginia is also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sarah; one great grandson, Chad Laramore; five brothers, Elmer Kroeck, Charles Kroeck, Wilbert Kroeck, Jerry Kroeck, and Glen Copeland; and one sister, Geraldine Kroeck. Survivors include one daughter, Pattie Bailey of Irondale, Missouri; six sons, Bill Stevens of Bunker, Missouri, Smiley Stevens Jr of Los Angelos, California; Paul Stevens of Bunker, Missouri, Mike Stevens and wife Donna of Bunker, Missouri, Danny Stevens and wife Linda of St. James, Missouri, and Joe Stevens of Bunker, Missouri; one brother, Dennis Gebhardt of Iron Mountain Lake, Missouri; three sisters, Marian Wisdom of Salem, Missouri, Verna Kroeck of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Pauline Arnold of Lebanon, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing.
