Obituary of Virginia Garner White Virginia Garner White, age 80, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Westchester Manor in High Point. Mrs. White was born in Murphy, NC on October 16, 1938 to James Grady and Blanche Cabe Garner. She was formerly employed with Centel Telephone and was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, R. Calvin White, Sr She is survived by her son, Raymond C. (Ray) White II and wife Kimberly (Kim) of Thomasville, grandson, Raymond C. (Trey) White III of Denton; and many friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.

Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scotty Carpenter and Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery.
