Obituary of Virginia Swienton Virginia “Ginny” Swienton 1926 – 2018 Utica Virginia “Ginny” Swienton, of Utica entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 24, 2018 with her beloved family by her side. She was born in Utica on July 27, 1926 the daughter of the late Alexander and Helen Niedzwiecki Szymanowski. Virginia was married to the late Rudy Swienton, a loving they shared for over forty – nine years.

Ginny was employed by the New York Telephone Co. for ten years and left to become a fulltime mother to her children. As they, grew, she spent her spare time in Market Research as a Research Analyst. Ginny was an avid swimmer, volunteered at the Stanley Theatre and tutored students in the Utica Public School System.

She was a long time parishioner of Holy Trinity Church and a member of Holy Trinity’s Choir. She is survived by her daughter Michele and her husband, Thomas McCambley of Sauquoit; a son, Paul Swienton, and his fiancée, Christine Nuyen of Potomac, MD. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Milozzo, Laura (Jamie) LeMura and Sara McCambley, as well as her great grandchildren, Alessa, Jack and Madeleine.

She was predeceased by her son, Greg Swienton; her daughter, Mary Helene Swienton and her sisters, Jeanette, Helen, Jean, Anna and Charlotte. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. There will be no calling hours.
