Wade Lowry February 27, 1960 – May 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Longtime Beckham County resident Clayton DeWade “Wade” Lowry left this world behind and entered Heaven’s Gates on May 16, 2019 at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 19 days. Wade was born to his parents Albert “Sonny” and Patricia (Roberts) Lowry February 27, 1960 in Erick, Oklahoma. Wade was a faithful servant to the residents of Beckham County.

He loved law enforcement and was formerly employed with the Beckham County Sheriff’s office as well as the Sayre Police Department and had served on the Sayre Volunteer Fire Department. In 2001 Wade received the OSBI Directors Oklahoma Police Officer of the Year Award. Tinkering with lawn mowers was one of many hobbies he enjoyed.

There was nothing he could not build or repair. He enjoyed the outdoors as well. Riding motor cycles, taking long walks, hunting and fishing were many activities he shared with his family.

On rainy days Wade would stay in and watch old western movies, the nature channel, and tell jokes to his family and friends. When visiting his parent’s home, he made the stop at the Hershey Kiss candy bowl first before any family time could start. Wade’s greatest accomplishment in his life time happened at New Liberty Baptist Church when he made Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior, with baptism following.

He was a wonderful Dad, Son, Brother, Grandfather and Uncle. His family and friends could always count on him for anything. He gave a helping hand to anyone in need.

Wade’s greatest love was for his family, children and grand-children with no exception. Although Wade is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include his special soul mate: Maggie Thorsen, parents: Albert and Patricia Lowry; siblings: Sherry Ramsey, Kathy Stuart and Howard Lowry; 6 sons: Clayton, Cody, Clint, Casey, Colt Lowry and Lonnie Rich; 3 daughters: Renee Gish, Melanie Rich, and Kayla Lowry-Duren as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding Wade in death include his grand-parents and 1 grand-daughter.
