Wallace’s Obituary WALLACE GENE FRENCH, JR. , 50, of Bland, VA, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his home. He was born June 18, 1968, the son of the late Wallace, Sr. & Lucy Mae Ramsey French.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, Nascar and the Dallas Cowboys. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter & son-in-law, Alli & Nick Surratt; his beloved grandsons, Dylan Rife, Travis Rife and Hunter Surratt; his sisters & brothers-in-law, Vickie & John Holt, Anita & David ton, Jr., and Melissa Taylor & Bill Havens; his niece and nephews, Joshua Scott, Faith & Brennon Martin, Noah Taylor, Marshall Armstrong, Hadran Taylor and Mason Taylor; and special friends, Snuffy and Nancy. Per his wishes, Gene will be cremated and will be laid to rest at Morning Star Cemetery.

There will be no services at this time. The French family is in the care of A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, avestandsons.com, (540) 921-2985.
