Walter Henry Watlington Sr. October 28, 1928 – December 22, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book WATERBURY Walter Henry Watlington, Sr. “U.S. Army Veteran” Walter Henry Watlington, Sr., 90, of 130 Woodglen Drive, Waterbury passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Inez (Lewis) Watlington. Mr. Watlington was born Oct.

28, 1928 in Yanceyville, NC, to the late Ms. Willie Watlington. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked for many years at Scovill Manufacturing Co. in Waterbury, CT until they closed and afterwards worked as a freelance window cleaner for many businesses in the Greater Waterbury, CT area. He is survived by three sons, William S. Watlington, Sr. and Glenn R. Watlington of Waterbury, CT, and John P. Watlington of Columbia, CT; two daughters, Yvonne R. Walton of Middletown, CT and Elaine R. Williams of Wendell, NC; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was predeceased by a son, Walter H. Watlington, Jr. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT, Bishop Joseph J. Norfleet, Sr., officiating. Condolences should be sent to Chase Parkway Memorial, c/o Yvonne Walton. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
