Obituary for Walter N. Jones Walter N. Jones, 95, of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2018. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, son of Walter Nelson and Lulu Maurer Jones. He was married for 37 years to Pearl Ashmore Jones who died in 1980 and then married Marie Hartman White Jones with whom he celebrated 35 years of marriage.

Surviving children are daughter Bonnie Rudiuk and son Walter James Jones. Also, step-children Kathleen White Griffin and husband Jefferson, and Timothy White and wife Karin Jerchau. There are seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Michael White. He will also be missed by niece Janice and nephew Billy and families. Walt was a radio operator on a B17 and flew 35 missions over Germany.

He retired from Bell of PA after 37 years of service. During his lifetime, he enjoyed Drum and Bugle Corps, Christian Service Brigade, travel, music and other Christian ministries. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community Chapel, 625 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville.

Inurnment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community Benevolent Fund, Suite 500, Quarryville, PA 17566 in his memory.
