Walter T. “Ted” Rider 88 of Zanesville passed away Saturday September 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 23, 1929 in Roseville a son of the late Francis and Beaulah Owens Rider. He was retired from O.D.O.T.

, was a member of the NRA, an avid hunter and enjoyed repairing and tinkering on cars. He is survived by two sons Michael B. (Pam) Rider and Thomas Rider; one daughter Kim (Rick) Bennett. Six grandchildren Misty (Jim) Walter, Scott (Dawn) Patterson, Josh (Amy) Miller, Jessica Miller, Christopher (Lindsey) Patterson and David (Rachel) Patterson; seven great grandchildren Lauren Walter, Landon Walter, Sahara Kokott, Dakotah Piner, Harmony Miller, Ariel Miller and Marley Patterson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Ruth Ann Rider who passed away on January 17, 2018, one brother, and step-son Terry Patterson. Special thanks to Ed Edwards for all his care and support for both Ruth Ann and Ted Rider and family. Friends may call 6-8pm on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE and one hour prior to services at 11:00am on Thursday September 27, 2018 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Andy Winters officiating.
