Whitsett – Wanda York Horner, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home. She was born in Alamance County on September 8, 1936 to the late John Clarence and Frances Katherine Jones York and was the wife of 61 years to the late Gary Joel Horner. Wanda was employed with Burlington Industries, Pioneer Plant for many years and most recently worked with her family at Auto Trim Designs.

She was a longtime member of Gibsonville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed playing… Read More » Scrabble and working Cross Word puzzles and spending time with her family. She was a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracey Loyd and husband Rob; son, Keith Horner and wife Liliana and a granddaughter, Mila Horner; sister, Doris Harvey and husband, Fred and a brother, Ronald York and wife, Wanda. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Ramona Kim Horner and a sister, Shirley Ferguson. A service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Gibsonville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Elder Jason McMurray officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the residence.
