Waneta Gayle Laughter January 20, 1935 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Waneta Gayle Laughter of Eaton Rapids, formerly of Crossville, TN. , Went home to be with her Lord and Savior, January 6, 2019 at the age of 83. She was born in Lansing, January 20, 1935, the daughter of John and Maude (Satterlee) Smith.

Waneta was a true Christian, sharing her beliefs in God with all that knew her. She was a people person and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Waneta loved to knit and teach the art of knitting to others.

God has healed Waneta and has called her home. She is survived by her sons, Rockney (Leigh) Tyler of Eaton Rapids, Robert Dale Squires of Eaton Rapids; daughter, Sally (Johnny) Whaley of Bremen, AL; grandchildren, Maegan DiLoreto of Austin, TX, Heather (Joe) Marsh, Stacee (Justin) Robison, Ryan (Amanda) Tyler, Kiefer (Jamie) Tyler, Dillon (Harley) Swan, all of Eaton Rapids; great grandchildren, Kira, Gavin, Taylor, Gabriel, Tristan, Rylee, Silas and Emma. Waneta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Laughter; granddaughter, Holli Tyler; brothers, Richard, John and Roger Smith.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday January 10, 2019 at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids, MI. Interment will in take place in Gresham Cemetery in Vermontville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and Thursday one hour prior to the service.
