Wayne West Browning, Sr., 73, passed away February 9, 2019. Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Tuesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 2pm Wednesday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Browning, a rural Copiah County native, was a retired Patrolman for the Jackson Police Department. He was an avid Civil War relic hunter from 1978-2002 when he became ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwyn “Bug” and Mattie Browning; sister Jacquelyn “Jackie” Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Colburn Browning; sons, Wayne West Browning, Jr. of Clinton and Weldon Elwyn Browning of Flowood; granddaughter, Jade Mackenzie Browning. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Wayne West Browning Sr. please visit our Sympathy Store.
