Funeral services for Weldon “PeeWee” Johnson, 91, of Fort Worth, formerly of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, July 27, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Weldon passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in Fort Worth. Weldon Wayne Johnson was born on July 28, 1926, in Winnsboro, TX, to parents, William Thomas Johnson and Bessie Evans Johnson. He was raised in Edgewood and later he was drafted into the United States Army to serve in the Korean War.

Weldon moved to Dallas as a young man, just 16 years old, then moved to Arlington where he lived most of his life. Weldon married Margaret Johnson in Durrant, OK on November 24, 1967. He worked in a warehouse as an inventory clerk for Merck Pharmaceuticals for over 38 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Nell Johnson and his parents, William and Bessie Johnson. Weldon is survived by his sons, Ronald Johnson and wife, Sheri, of Ft. Worth and Steven Johnson of Arlington; two grandchildren, Matthew Johnson of Burleson and Jason Johnson of Ft.

Worth, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
