Wilburn “Tommy” Poyner was born in Dermott, Arkansas on February 16, 1944. He was called to his eternal resting place on August 25, 2018 at the age of 74. He was a family man, he loved to spend his time outdoors fishing and hunting.

He was a loyal employee at General Cable for 37 years and during that time he was drafted into the army from 1965-1967 and served in Vietnam. He was a loving and caring father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is proceeded in death by his parents Wilburn and Irene Poyner, sister Ruby McElwain nieces Jamie and Saundra Bain, nephew Kevin Poyner, best friend Arthur Harden and son-in-law Daniel Grzybek.

He is survived by his children Julie Grzybek, Tom and Vicki Poyner, sister Dana and James Bain, brother Gary Poyner, grandchildren Shelby and Kristopher Grzybek, Justin and Brittney Poyner and great grandson Braxton Smith. Services will be held Saturday, September, 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center.
