Wiley E. “Gene” Herren September 25, 1938 – February 5, 2019 Graveside services for Wiley E. “Gene” Herren will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Sardis Cemetery near Jewett. Pastor Rick Smith will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Wiley E. “Gene” Herren went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was born on September 25, 1938, in Jewett, to Arles & Bertie Herren. Gene loved his family and worked hard to provide for them.

He also loved wood working, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was a faithful member of Flynn Assembly of God Church and loved the Lord. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Helen Wilburn Herren; one daughter, Julia Page & husband Joe of Marquez; two sons, David Herren of Houston, and Mark Herren & wife Carrie of Fairfield; grandchildren, James Klenert & wife Heather, Ashley Marchese & husband Kyle, Gabrielle (Gabby) Shuldham, Amber Herren, Megan Herren, Justin Herren, and Chance Herren; great-grandchildren, Darren Klenert, Derek Klenert, Mia Shuldham, Delilah Herren, Aubrey Nowlin, Jayden Herren, and Kyle Marchese; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Herren was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers; and seven sisters.
