OBITUARY Willa Mae Petiprin April 14, 1923 – January 24, 2019 Willa Mae Petiprin, 95, Mae to all who knew her. She was born in Witcher, Oklahoma on April 14, 1923, to Lillie and William Rodgers. She had one sibling, her brother George Rodgers, who died in 2002.

In 1947 she married Lester Joseph Petiprin, with whom she had two sons, Jerome in 1951, and Gary in 1964. Mae and Les lived in Midwest City, Oklahoma; Washington, DC; London, England; Del Rio, Texas; Sault Saint Marie, Michigan; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Jones, Oklahoma. In 1987 Les passed away.

Mae remarried in 1988 to Lynn Pendleton and they lived in Edmond, Oklahoma. In 2003 Mae survived Lynn and continued to live in Edmond until she moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 2018. She was ordained a Christian Fellowship Minister in 1985 and was minister of the Heaven’s View Christian Fellowship until 2005.

Mae is survived by her two sons, Jerry “Jerome” Petiprin, and Gary Petiprin (Dorothy Carpenter); grandchildren, Dylan Petiprin (21), Ryan Petiprin (19), Will Brown (16), Wendy Brown (14), and Zöe Petiprin (11); a long-time lover of animals, she is also survived by her dog, Joey, the chihuahua. Services to honor Mae’s life will be planned at a later date. In Mae’s honor, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Louisville, or a charity of your choosing.
