OBITUARY Mary Dorothy Bowling March 7, 1931 – January 21, 2019 Mary “Dorothy” Bowling, 87, of Louisville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 21, 2019. Born to the late James Sr. and Anna French, wife of the late Warren Harding, and loving mother to five children; Kathryn (Larry) Reis, Cynthia Saling, Karen (Skip) Lichtefeld, Jim (Cindy) Bowling, Lisa (Kenny) Schonburg; 10 grandchildren: Melisa, Chris, Jonathan, Kristy, Tiffany, Shane (KC), Kennedy, Rachel, Ryan, and Seth; and 9. 5 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings Laura, Margaret, Bob, and Patsy. Dorothy was retired from KD&W National Distillers and was the beloved matriarch of her family. She was a treasure as a mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She had a sharp mind for remembering dates and events and she touched everyone she met with a warm smile and kind heart. She will be loved, missed, and remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the kind nurses and aides at the Masonic Home and AMS Temporary for loving and caring for their mom.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24 from 2-8 pm at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, and her funeral service will be at the same location on Friday at 1:00 pm, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
