William (Bill) C. Bennett, 70 went to be with the Lord November 1, 2018 at his home after a 6 year battle with colon cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Adeline Bennett, and his brother Bobby Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon, his sisters Lynne Atwood, Marsha Phillips and Beth (Mark) Pisani, step children Jason (Debbie) Orzell and Marissa (David) Freedman, grandkids Lauren Orzell, Sebastian and Phoenix Freedman, and his mother-in-law Betty Truax.

Bill worked at various machine shops in the area, most recently at George Industries. Bill attended Catatonk Baptist Church and had many friends. Special thanks to Pastor Middaugh for his guidance, to Ron Zunic and Tom Walbridge for their kindness during Bill’s illness and to Dr. Barrett, Dr. Readling, the nurses and staff at Broome Oncology for the care they provided.

Per Bill’s request he will be buried at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell with a private ceremony. Please make a donation to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in his memory. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.
