OBITUARY William “Billy” Arthur White February 18, 1957 – July 23, 2018 William “Billy” Arthur White GASTON – William “Billy” Arthur White, 61, of Gaston, left this earth peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born February 18, 1957 in Columbia, SC, to John and Betty White. Billy was a member of White Knoll Church of Christ in Lexington.

He was a talented artist and drummer and a former computer guru. He held many jobs, but was especially happy when he worked with Robertson Optical Laboratories. He loved watching golf and was a huge fan of the Gamecocks.

Before his illness, he helped out at Richbourg Haven farms, the family farm. Billy was a loving dad and brother, who will truly be missed. Billy was predeceased by his parents and a nephew, Charles G. Crump.

Surviving is his daughter, Jackie White of Wyandotte, MI; his sons, Zac Harris and Adam (Tabitha) Harris; grandson, Parker Harris of Charleston, SC; sisters, Betty (Mike) Davis of Chapin, Lola (Calvin) Richbourg and Theresa (Randy) Reeves of Gaston, SC. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Greg Crump, Jesse Richbourg, Bear Richbourg, Joey Reeves, Josh Williams and brother-in-law, Randy Reeves. The family would like to thank the nurses on the 5th floor of Lexington Medical Center, Dr. Jennifer Carson, and everyone at Lexington Agape Hospice House for all of their love and care for Billy.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Southland Memorial Gardens, officiated by his minister, Ernie Richards. The family will receive friends at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Knoll Church of Christ Youth program, 675 Old Orangeburg Rd.
