William “Billy” Kay, 59, went home to be with the Lord May 31, 2018. A Celebration of Billy’s life will be held 6:30PM Friday June 8, 2018 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Pastor Jay Boyce officiating. The family will gather informally to visit with friends immediately following the service.

A native of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Billy was the son of the late Lily Matheson and William Clarence Kay. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his sister Belle Kay Warren. A carpenter by trade, Billy particularly enjoyed fishing, friends, the beach, and spending time with his family especially his daughter Rachel.

Survivors include his loving wife Sherri Pegram Kay of the home; daughter Rachel Kay of the home; sister Patricia Deaton and Miller of Lancaster, SC; brothers Jimmy Kay and Sherry of Danbury, and Burt Kay; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
