Obituary for William C. Skaggs William Charles Skaggs of Iron Mountain, MO, passed away Sept. 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 78 years, 10 Months, and 6 days. He was born Nov.

20, 1939 in Iron Mountain, MO, a son of the late William H. and Melbourne Phegley Skaggs. On July 25, 1959 he was united in marriage to Linda King, who survives. To this union was born three children; Bill Skaggs and wife Sharon, Sally Mathes and husband Kent both of Iron Mountain, and Susan Ladd of Park Hills.

Also surviving are 7 sisters; Earlene Morris and Maxine Nichols of Iron Mountain, Nadine Smith,”Carl” of Farmington, Betty Usher “Paul” and Margaret Gibson “John” both of Bismarck, Melba Enderle of Seymore, MO, and Virginia Light “Rick” of Ellington; 8 grandchildren, Shannon, Josh, Shalyn, Tessa, Lynzi, Andrew, Garrett, and Carla; 12 great grandchildren, a sister in law Wanna Skaggs of Park Hills, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Heasel Ray “Sonny” Skaggs. Bill as he was known, was a member of and director of World Missions for the International Christian Fellowship and went on mission trips to foreign countries.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1 PM form Cole Family Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will begin on Monday, from 4 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice.
