Mr. William Carl ‘Bill’ West, age 76 of Madison, AL, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. He was born May 9, 1942 to the late Oscar West and Alta Gibson West Carson. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in active duty in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Janie Simpson West; and a sister: Nancy West Holiday. He is survived by his brothers: James Oscar West and wife Sheila, and Robert West and wife Linda; many nieces and nephews; in-laws: Ralph Simpson, Shirley Jeffers and husband Ralph, Vonda O’Sullivan and husband Dave; special friends: Louise Rayburn, George Moss and Kirk DeWeese; special neighbors: Maurice and Rosie Baldwin; and several other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the West family on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro.

Philip Kazee officiating in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Scott County Memorial Gardens in Oneida, TN. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
