William Daniel “Willie” Sharp, 88, of Dillwyn passed away January 9, 2019. He was born October 24, 1930, the son of the late Warren Daniel Sharp and Agnes Poe Sharp. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked for the City of Richmond and the Department of Corrections in Goochland and Buckingham. He is survived by his sister, Lorene Sharp Huddleston and husband, Joe; two nephews Ray Daniel Banton (Monica) and Warren Morton Huddleston (Lacy); great nephew, Cody Banton; great niece, Brooklyn Huddleston; step-niece, Regina H. Taylor (Robert); step-nephew, Keith Huddleston (Sharon); step-great nephews; Brian and Matthew Taylor and Ryan and Josh Huddleston. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dillwyn Fire Dept. , Dillwyn Rescue Squad or Cedar Baptist Church Building Fund. Dunkum Funeral Home is serving the family.
