William E. Kuhns, 91 of Connellsville died Monday January 14, 2019 in Excela Health Frick Hospital. He was born March 3, 1927. He was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass and he was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army.

He was a member of the Connellville Church of God on Breakneck Ave. He is survived by two children, Shirley Slaughter and her husband Ronald of Pendleton, IN and Roger Kuhns of Connellsville; his grandchildren, Amanda Safford and her husband Scott, Christopher Slaughter and his wife Brandi, Kista Gifford and her husband Bart, Corey Kuhns and his wife Amy, Jonathan Kuhns and Monica Kuhns; 14 great grandchildren. Mr. Kuhns was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Virginia Margaret Santore Kuhns in 2011. Friends will be received from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Wednesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Nelson Confer officiating.

Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military Honors will be accorded by the Connellsville American Legion and VFW Honor Guard. To offer a condolence or remembrance please visit www.
